Wisconsin Photography 2024

Summer Hail has been awarded the Jessica Zalewski Purchase Award for the Racine Art Museum's Permanent Collecton.

Four of my photographs, including Bad Axe River Barn, have been selected for Wisconsin Photography 2024. Barn in Golden Field, Lake Michigan Caves and Summer Hail were selected from among 986 submitted photographs.

Bad Axe River Barn was captured on an early fall morning in the Wisconsin Driftless Region, southwest of Viroqua.

The exhibition is on view August 28 through November 23, 2024, at the Racine Art Museum's Wustum Museum in Racine, Wisconsin.

The Art of Culinary

A new exhibition at the Nicolet College Art Gallery features food-inspired artworks to highlight the college's culinary program. 

Located near the northern Wisconsin city of Rhinelander, Nicolet's Art Gallery is adjacent to the Culinary Lab. The gallery will be stuffed with an abundance of mouthwatering artworks from artists across the Midwest. The Art of Culinary is on view December 9, 2024 through January 24, 2025.

Two of my photographs were selected for the exhibition. I captured Harvest Moon just west of Wausau; a small farm market is highlighted by a Harvest Moon. Lake Superior Orchard was photographed near Bayfield, Wisconsin, with Lake Superior in the background.
